How to Remove the Back Seat

Here is the back seat lower anchor. Notise the "S" shaped groove. The trick to getting the lower back seat cushion out is to press the seat towards the trunk and then lift up. It may take several tries. Do one side at a time.

Here is a picture showing the back seat upper cushion's lower anchor point. Use a 1/4" ratchet with 7/16" socket to remove these two screws with large washers.

 

Here is a picture showing the back seat upper cushion hooks....there are 3 of them. Trick here is to push the upper cushion towards the rear window and then use your other hand at the bottom of the cushion to lift up. If you just try to lift up, the metal frame will stay below the hook barb and you will not be able to remove the seat.
